Privacy Policy

Welcome to the Mizushyne Archive.

Protecting your personal data is important. This policy explains what information is collected and how it is used to facilitate the creation and delivery of your 1-of-1 physical and digital artifacts.

1. Information Collected

When placing an order, the following information may be collected:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Shipping address
  • Phone number
  • Payment information
  • The Collector's Note: The custom text you submit during the acquisition process.
  • The Canvas Hash: The cryptographic string mathematically generated from your Collector's Note.
  • Web3 Wallet Address: (Optional) If you request the transfer of your digital provenance (NFT).

2. The Blockchain & Public Ledger (Important)

To verify the authenticity of your physical artwork, the Collector's Note and the Canvas Hash are permanently minted to a public, decentralized blockchain as a digital provenance record (NFT).

  • Public Visibility: By submitting a Collector's Note, you consent to this specific text being permanently and publicly visible on the blockchain. Do not submit sensitive, medical, or highly private information.
  • Immutability: Blockchains are immutable ledgers. Once your Collector's Note and Canvas Hash are minted, they cannot be altered, hidden, or deleted by the Mizushyne Archive or any third party.

3. Payment Processing

Payments on this website are processed through Stripe.

Stripe may collect and process personal and payment information necessary to complete transactions, process payments, and prevent fraud. For more details, please review the Stripe Privacy Policy.

4. Use of Information

Your information is used solely for the purpose of:

  • Processing and fulfilling orders (including generating the Canvas Hash and minting the digital provenance)
  • Communicating about orders or shipping
  • Providing customer support
  • Complying with legal obligations

5. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping providers may receive the information necessary to deliver your order, such as your name, address, and contact details.

6. Data Storage & Security

Reasonable measures are taken to protect your information during transactions. Payments are processed through secure third-party infrastructure.

Order Data: General order information (name, email, shipping) and the Collector's Note mapping are stored securely in our private, encrypted database infrastructure (e.g., Vercel/Postgres) to facilitate the "Decryption Ceremony" on our verification page.

Payment Data: This website does not directly store payment information. Personal data related to orders may be retained by payment processors and shipping providers according to their own data retention policies.

7. Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google.

Google Analytics helps understand how visitors interact with the website, such as pages visited and general usage patterns. This information helps improve the website and user experience.

Google Analytics may collect information including:

  • IP address
  • Device and browser information
  • Pages visited
  • Approximate geographic location

8. Cookies

This website uses cookies necessary for website functionality and analytics.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help the website operate correctly and provide usage statistics.

You may disable cookies through your browser settings, although some features of the site may not function correctly.

9. Your Rights (and the Blockchain Exemption)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Request information about how your data is used

10. Exception to the Right of Deletion

Due to the permanent nature of decentralized ledger technology, we cannot honor requests to delete or alter the Collector's Note or Canvas Hash once they have been minted to the public blockchain.

We can only delete your traditional personal data (name, email, shipping address) from our internal private databases.
