HEIRS TO A SMALL DISASTER
The two figures fit together awkwardly, which makes their closeness feel more convincing.
A weapon divides the composition while bodies, hair and fabric overlap around it. Red marks appear almost casually across the pale surface, too small to explain whatever has happened but impossible to ignore.
Heirs to a Small Disaster is less about catastrophe than what remains between people after it.
